Paper crumbles when wet

Sandpaper cannot be used with water. I started sanding the chess board with wet sand to give it a smooth finish and the paper took about 3 minutes before it crumbled. I was immediately suspicious when I saw what appeared to be standard backing paper.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Not for wet grinding!

So I just hand sand with wet sand because that's what it's supposed to do. Not very good. Very minimal grinding and sand falls off. This is my hand doing the sanding and I'm not a pro or very strong so I have to say they are NOT for wet sanding!

Horrible. at Power Finishing Tool Parts & Accessories

I have used 3M and this material pales in comparison to 3M. The sand feels flaky and not resilient at all, and it's even worse when wet. Very disappointed. I'm updating my rating and downgrading it to one star. Sandpaper paint soiled one of my cutting boards and I had to buy 3M to fix it. Do not recommend wild.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Almost never

Don't buy this. Best in Power Sander Parts & Accessories

Tried to get the sand wet. Do not worry. The abrasive, like a whetstone, will flake off any edges you put into it. Nothing comes close to 3m or Meguires in terms of durability/quality. They are made in China and the markings on the back make it difficult if not impossible to tell which size you are using. Revain would have done the right thing by removing that line from its stock.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • ill thought out

Fair in Power Finishing Tool Parts and Accessories

For the price this is more paper than I expected. I don't use it for detailing, but for smoothing hardened polymer clay. I work dry pretty well, but sand doesn't last as long as 3M paper. When I used it wet, the sand and glue came off the paper fairly quickly with rough use. It works for the price but don't expect outstanding results, it is what it is.

Pros
  • Two sheets of each grit: 400/600/800/1000/1200/1500
Cons
  • Unsure

Doesn't work well when wet

I doubt this is truly wet/dry sandpaper as it tends to break down very quickly compared to other wet/dry sanding papers begins. I use. Usually the sandpaper gets soaked with what I'm sanding before it falls apart. It really shouldn't have the "wet-dry" designation unless it's intended to be used wet. Not a big problem for my particular project, but it might be a problem for some projects. In general, this is a cheap option, but in the future I will use a well-known sandpaper.

Pros
  • Good quality sandpaper: sandpaper sheets are silicon carbide grit
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Get what you get for what you get pay. Thought I'd buy these as I needed a different grit for a motorcycle restoration project and didn't want to buy many packs of 3M sandpaper. They work well, they don't work well, and if you're targeting the 3M brand, I'd say they differ by about 200 for each grit level (for example, LANHU's 800 version feels like 600 grit 3M, the 1000 LANHU looks like 800 3M etc.). So they did their job, but I had to adapt. Probably wouldn't buy again but good for thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Compact size: each sheet of sandpaper is divided into 9 x 3.6 inches
Cons
  • No power
