I do not recommend: Computers and accessories

Didn't work the first time. The power light just blinked endlessly. It should blink when the firmware is updating or a self-test is running. However, he did not go beyond this regime. Also, the instruction manual was pathetic. I had to go online (with my cheap router) to find more detailed instructions. Don't take chances with this router.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Minor issues

Router died after 1 year and 3 months

4 Initial rating as the software is VERY limited. I had to get a stand for better airing, but it works fine. For the money I recommend. =============== Update: =============== I bought the modem on 11/11/2013 to 03/23/2015 The modem has a blinking Operating lamp and the router no longer works. Since it is 1 year and 4 months old, the warranty has already expired. Changed rating from 4 stars to 1 because I had many other routers that were still working after a year. I will not buy another WD…

Excellent 802.11ac network router

I bought it at the end of November 2013. My experience with this router has been excellent. My network is reliable, very reliable and works very well. I used to have a dual band 802.11n network and am very happy with this 802.11ac router upgrade. I have a Cox Premier Internet with a Motorola SB6120 cable modem. Cox's declared internet speed is 50Mbps incoming and 10Mbps incoming traffic. I'm constantly getting 60 plus down, 20 up and a ping speed of 10-15ms. There are many devices on my…

Recommended for apartments, easy setup, reliable connection

Update after several months of daily use: WD My Net AC1300 performed very well. We haven't experienced any crashes caused by the router and I would say the latest firmware is very stable. If you are having problems with your router, be sure to check for a firmware update. (If you've never done this before: Enter the IP address from the manual into a web browser and use the standard login found on the bottom of the router itself. Go to "Settings" and search for a button to check for a firmware…

Best router for the dollar

Check out reviews after your purchase because of our great price. I'm glad I didn't let the reviews influence my purchase of this router. It was an impressive router. This is the most customizable router I've ever owned and I love it. It's great to have their own dedicated networks for guests, multimedia devices, and work laptops. No connection or speed issues. I upload files to my hard drive over the network on a weekly basis and never notice any network lag when he is doing this and watching…

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Seems to work fine. The interface is rather sparse and slow. I got it working with two WD bridges and the connection isn't as strong as I had hoped: after a power outage they don't seem to connect properly and I had to reset the bridges every time, even though I've tried manually closing both connect (WPA key) or via WPS. It turns out that the solution (after a long Google search) is to set the router's 5GHz channel to 40. After this change, the connection with the bridges remains intact.

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • Some bugs
