One of these was vacuum packed, the other - in the same packaging - was fully flared. I ordered 20" inserts for 18" pillowcases and it was difficult to fit the extended one into the cover. I never managed to get it fully working in the corners. Vacuum packed worked much better, but be aware that it expands as soon as it's taken out of the box (although it wasn't fully expanded until the next day).
