Torn after the first crimp!

Tool broke after first crimp. I have used very good quality and only lightly used vise for crimping spark plug wires. There is no excuse for this poor quality. Buy a crimping die for ratchet crimping pliers or special pliers.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...

It works, but it could be better.

Working. It's a bit fiddly to strip the wire with this, but it gets the job done. I used it to shorten a set of 8mm NAPA wires, each about a foot longer. The crimps came out about as good as the wires from the Belden factory.

Pros
  • Excellent performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Fantastic DIY Tool Kits

I see reviews saying it's broken, but I think it's operator error. I used a small machine vise and just tightened it until I felt it touch the floor. It is designed for both 7mm and 8mm wire. So if you're crimping 8mm wire, the tool will still have a gap and the big vise will keep turning until it breaks. Made a complete set with no problems

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Works fine but the instructions need to be better

I wasn't able to use wire cutters because my wires were a little over the max size but it looks like it will work fine. I was able to use the pliers in a vice and it was very convenient and much easier and more manageable than using hand pliers. The instructions were confusing, partly because the pictures in the instructions were too dark to see. I ended up going online to watch the video. If the instructions were better it would be 5 stars. This is a good tool.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
