Used item. - Ignition and Electrical

This item was delivered to me greased and screw hole marked indicating it was previously installed on the vehicle, filmed and without It was sent cleaning. I don't know why it was removed from the previous car but I can only assume that there is a good chance it was removed because it didn't work.

Pros
  • Cover sealed to prevent corrosion and vented to remove trapped heat
Cons
  • Not reliable

LT1 Optispark replacement

An Optispark replacement is never fun but when you need it this is the perfect replacement. The MSD Optispark is great but also costs twice as much as an Accel unit that does the same thing and looks just as good as the MSD. I would also advise you to buy a new water pump as it only costs $85 at Revain compared to $150.

Pros
  • High dielectric strength thermoplastic cap with brass contacts
Cons
  • ill thought out

Built-in 97 Pontiac Formula

This is the first Opti I have had to replace and it was done in 97 Pontiac Formula. It's been about a month and everything seems fine. The car seems to be running better than just before the old opti ran. The only thing that was a little odd was that it took a lot of effort to get him to fully enter. I know I've picked up the cam cart many times, but it didn't go all the way in. Eventually I took some oil and applied it to the gaskets and after a bit of work pushing it in and out it finally…

Pros
  • Straight Fork Factory Replacement
Cons
  • Quality

Shit! Didn't last 1 year.

I gave my 1997 Pontiac Trans Am a major overhaul. Since I had a leak in the timing gear cover I decided to replace the Opti. I ordered this Accel and did all the work on the car. It was April 10, 2015, now it's November 21, 2015 and my car is dead. It just died on me in the middle of a busy street while I was sitting at a traffic light. Find out what this Opti Spark is. This thing didn't last a year. The original, which I've never had any problems with, lasted 17 years, I only changed it as I…

Pros
  • Cap tips shaped to avoid bulging
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
