Description of ๐Ÿ“Š ORAPXI Digital PH Tester for Water - Accurate PH Meter for Household Drinking Water, Hydroponics, Lab & Aquarium with 0.01pH Resolution and ATC

3-in-1 water quality tester: This PH meter has a three-in-one function, which can measure PH, TDS and temperature with high precision at the same time. All-round measurement of water quality to ensure healthy water quality. Easy to use: After calibration, put the sensor in the solution to be tested, and get the reading immediately. Please rinse the probe with water carefully before performing another liquid, otherwise you may get inaccuracy reading. Backlit design: There is no need to worry about seeing the displayed value if the light is insufficient. ORAPXI PH meter features a green backlit LCD to help you obtain the measurement results clearly in any situation. Automatic Temperature Compensation: Auto temp compensation (ATC) ensures accuracy in various temperatures (32ยฐF~140ยฐF), It can solve the possible error perfectly caused by the change of liquid temperature, so as to make the pH readings more accurate. Wide applications: The instrument is ideal for drinking water, daily household, hydroponics, beer brewing, swimming pool, laboratory, food processing etc.

This Worked For Me - pH Meter

This product works as advertised! I'm not sure about all the negative comments, I should get a good one. When delivered, the ppm value was accurate. I had to calibrate the launcher, it's ok, it's calibrated like everyone else. I checked the calibration and stayed in the calibration for another week.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Boring Packaging

Incorrect calibration

Received last November, unused until January 2nd, thought something was wrong due to the amount of caustic required to raise the pH. In the past, our water was always too high. I tried recalibrating to find that when I put the tester in a pH 9.18 solution, it calibrated at pH 6.86 instead of 9.18. I tried everything, changed batteries and solutions, nothing helped.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Not calibrated correctly

Received last November, unused until January 2nd, thought something was wrong due to the amount of caustic needed to raise the pH. In the past, our water was always too high. When attempting to recalibrate, it was found that when the tester was placed in a pH 9.18 solution, it calibrated to pH 6.86, not 9.18. I tried everything, changed batteries and solutions, nothing helped.

  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons

Calibration algorithm messed up

This unit was a little stalled so I decided to calibrate it. Big mistake. It randomly picks the wrong point to calibrate. In a buffer with a pH of 6.86, he usually chooses a value of 9.18. In a pH buffer of 4.01, he usually chooses 6.86, but sometimes 9.18. From time to time one of the calibration points gets correct, but then when I try to calibrate pH 4.01 it distorts the whole calibration curve. I compare it to a pH 7.00 reference solution and get 7.34. The counter can no longer be usedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Test, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Calibration failed in a week! Calibration failed

This meter looked promising at first. I did the initial pH calibration using different buffer powders and distilled water. Well calibrated and delivered stable results compared to the test strip. It was used to read the pH of the water in an aquarium. In less than a week, I noticed that the readings were actually different than I expected. I checked it again with the test strip and it really wasn't the same as before and obviously already out of calibration. When I tried to recalibrate with the
