Fixed my overheating problem on my 2013 Chevy Malibu

Had overheating problems on my 2013 Chevy Malibu LT2. Internet forums have recommended replacing the engine coolant temperature sensors. My car has 2 - one on the radiator (passenger side) and one on the engine on the driver's side. Easy to replace and seems to have solved my problem. Featured!

O-ring/seal was too short

The sensor itself fixed the missing temperature problem. Reading on the gauge, A/C off light due to engine hot message and an instant check engine light, but it was leaking badly from the start even as I had just added coolant to the reservoir. I had to pull it back out only to find that the o-ring/seal was about 1/8" shorter than the one I pulled out. I swapped out the o-rings and fixed the problem, but now that's it O-ring much older than the sensor I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't
