GM Genuine Parts AC Accumulator 15-10421 Review

Ice Air Conditioner after replacing a noisy compressor with accumulator and choke tube. Don't forget to replace gaskets and o-rings.

Installed on my truck a few months ago, so far it works fine and cool. I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3, easy install, fits with no problems.

Super price, very easy install and perfect fit, comes with a gasket kit, be sure to replace the bore tube. I'll add a photo if you don't know what it looks like

This is an ACDelco replacement, exactly the same part that was on my truck with the new part. The part was very well made and cost much less than buying it from a dealer or auto parts store.

Ordered to replace the stock Delphi unit. I sent it back right away. First, MADE IN CHINA. Second, the welding of parts needs to be improved. Unfortunately, this is an original ACDelco part, but poorly made. You've ordered ACDelco before and received a very nice part from the USA!

isn't exactly a direct replacement for my application, although "Make sure it matches" told me it was. Slightly shorter than standard, not critical. However, the front hose connection didn't work like it did on the drain and I had to twist the hose so much that it almost buckled. Adding some support keeps it from twisting, but it's certainly not ideal.

The product was a brand new AC Delco, as in the description. Unfortunately mine was different. Be sure to compare the photos of it with those on your car. There are two styles. Mine had a big square block in front with two lines going up. The worst thing was that AC Delco no longer has this particular one so I had to go to the aftermarket. The car is a 2000 5.3L Tahoe with rear air conditioning but no rear heater.

I had no problem installing this on a 2000 Silverado 5.3 with no rear air conditioning but when I opened the factory sealed box which appears never to have been opened since the original packaging. , black exhaust cap and screw were loosened in the box. There was still no seal on the black cover and therefore the battery would not be sealed against the atmosphere even if installed as shown in the picture. I suspect it's not required in this application, but I'm not sure how that would be the…

Item OK. Don't be like me, check the part on the vehicle before ordering a replacement. I went to Rockauto to look up an OEM part number and they listed this battery as a replacement for my truck, but it didn't. It bolts to the evaporator and fits perfectly in the bracket, but the outlet doesn't fit. As you can see from my photos, the original battery is installed and the one I keep is new.
