Description of πŸ”˜ High-Quality ACDelco Gold 17D1160CH Ceramic Front Disc Brake Pad Set

Tested to SAE J2784 for braking effectiveness, along with Noise/Vibration/Harshness (NVH) and durability/wear testing for assurance of quality. Ceramic, semi-metallic, and organic formulas provide safety and reliability for a range of vehicle applications. Integrally molded - friction material molded to backing plate for bond integrity. Premium shims, slots, and chamfers help to diminish noise, vibration, and braking harshness. Stamped backing plate allows for proper pad movement within the caliper assembly, reducing noise, brake pulsation, and helps to protect against premature wear. Some ACDelco Gold parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco Professional. Premium aftermarket replacement part. Manufactured to meet specifications for fit, form, and function for General Motors vehicles as well as most makes and models.

Very efficient. for brake pads

I drive about 125 miles every night and there are so many deer on the roads that I needed brake pads and rotors that would stop my car quickly and they certainly do. Stops are smooth and quiet.

Pros
  • Delightful
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Perfect fit, little dust, no noise!

They fit the front disc brakes on my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS very well. The kit includes the necessary hardware, wear indicators fitted to the inner pads, and a small pouch of silicone grease.

  • Price
Cons

Reliable performance. Durability

That used to be the durastop Professional product line. They just changed the name to "Gold" (as opposed to Silver or Advantage for a lower quality line of products). Good fit for 2008 Malibu. Last 5 years / 50,000 miles, at least for me. I also do this for my other cars if available. The price is a bit expensive compared to other brands. But I think it calms you down

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • boring packaging

Smooth and quiet. what else is there?

I have been using ac pro line ceramics on all my cars for years and they are always reliable, smooth-running and quiet. We don't know each other but I'll tell you that I've used them many times and last. When they finally wear out, you'll likely be doing other car maintenance and changing pads while you're there. you do it yourself man

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great pads for OEM applications!

One pad alone can't make a huge difference in braking performance but I can say they are definitely better than the standards. I've paired them with an ACDelco Advantage Rotor and the car feels very safe under braking again. There isn't much power and you can feel them starting to get hooked and on an emergency stop they grab well with no problem. Installed on the G6 GTP and the pads fit the gaskets like a glove. Very good brake pads!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to say

Must be a bad attitude. terrible customer service

I bought these pads in July 2017. At the beginning of August 2018 (approx. 10,000 km) I heard a terrible grinding noise that occurs when braking after the brakes have warmed up. The noise is directly related to the brakes (rotation, etc.). Of course I look at the pads and see that they are very worn and the rotors I installed (18A1659A) rusted from the inside at the same time and looked deformed. I haven't seen this in brakes for a little over a year. Very insecure. I called AC Delco to inquire

Pros
  • wow

Full set of guide pads for a great price

Installed these pads this morning along with new brake discs (AC Delco 18A1659). The braking performance is excellent, without vibrations, squeaks and other unpleasant noises. Installation was easy - just make sure to liberally lubricate the Sylglide guide pad slots during installation to ensure they don't stick. I believe this caused my previous left front pad to wear out unevenly and broke my rotor prematurely. Revain.com has completely quashed price competition for auto parts lately. I don't

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Upgradeable
