Installation takes a little time, but it's worth it.

It takes a little time to assemble, but it's worth it. I bought this and got a new key, and my ignition has changed from a Buddy Bucket to a premium Krust Krab. and no smoother than a baby snail's butt.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Weight

Works well. in Ignition Parts

Requires a little mechanical skill to assemble, but it's not that bad. Love the fact that you can tie it to your old key instead of having two keys for the same car. Now I can also take the key code to a locksmith and he will cut new keys out of it instead of a copy of the copy I have right now.

  • Weight
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Faulty Ignition Lock Cylinder

Seemed this would be a good replacement. It seemed to be the right part for my Saturn SL2, but something went wrong. I've found that the toggle switches don't just snap into place. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the cylinder had not been manufactured correctly; prevent the installation of toggle switches. I am planning to return for marriage.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Some are lucky, I haven't been there twice so I'm done!

I ordered 2 and still the toggle switches don't fit on the lock cylinder! Bent over and trying to insert a glass. Same with the second! Ac Delco tried to get me to go to the dealer, they won't do anything for me without paying them! I only take the part from the dealer and not the manufacturing defect that keeps being sent to me! It could be $60 more but at least I can start my car again!

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • Hard to say

Two attempts were made - the first failed

This was marked as an AC Delco OEM part. Due to the initially inferior processing of the part, I seriously assume that this is a fake. This is the first time I have received a genuine AC Delco part that has turned out to be junk. The replacement part worked as expected and the packaging even looked more "real" than the first one. Judging by the defective part, there was an issue with replacing the key pins or key cylinder during the manufacturing/milling process. I read the reviews before…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Something else

OEM goods, but keep the original part!

I give 3 stars because it is an OEM part that fits my car. However, I received 2 defective items. The first time you could see that the milling process didn't completely separate from the molding machine, so it was a little out of place where the cylinder coincides with the ignition. They sent me a replacement and the uniform was clean. HOWEVER I took both locks to a professional locksmith to have the key installed. BOTH inner cylinders did not have the correct tolerances for the brass plates…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • quality

and I found it fairly easy to replace

This is a suitable replacement for the lock cylinder and I found it fairly easy to replace, took maybe 15 minutes. However, the instructions are not entirely clear on some things. For example, if you're inserting a cup into the core, you'll need something like pliers to push the cup all the way in. Before doing this, make sure you have the correct toggle switch as you will most likely not be able to take it out anymore. without damaging anything. Using tape as instructed should not be necessary

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Square Wrench Doesn't Fit 1997 Saturn "S " Series Ignition Switch

First of all, the part sent to me is ok from technical point of view. It just doesn't fit and can't be made for my car (1997 Saturn SC2). Before ordering, I checked the online offer for compatibility. It was said it would fit. The package instructions clearly state that it fits "97-99 Saturn Sedan, Coupe and Wagon". .And I've even just had a new key made with the VIN (which works great in all the other locks on the car). The tumbler set has the wrong number of slide plates, the wrong key…

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Damaged
