Disappointed with the quality from ACDelco!

Very disappointed with expensive branded part. It failed about 2 months after installing it on my 2005 Trailblazer. A high-pitched squeak resembles dry bushings or bearings. I have read that the 12 month warranty does not apply if it is not installed by the dealer. I've since ordered a $70 replacement air pump from China. Let's see what's up. :-(

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • dull packaging

My wife's Trailblazer Check Engine Indicator repaired

Complete with ACDelco 214-2222 Air Check Valve and ACDelco 219-351 Gasket Purchased when code returned as secondary air system. Went to Trailvoy.com to find out how to fix the problem. It turned out to be a really easy replacement that saved the dealer about $700. Thank you Revan but it's time to change the name to Air Pump. This device does not pump liquids!

ACDelco Pump 215-454

This pump was easy to install on my 2005 I6 Chevy Trailblazer along with the check valve (ACDelco 214-2222). It attaches to a bracket located on the driver's side of the chassis, next to the driver's door. The name is wrong, it's actually not a fuel pump but an air injection pump used for air injection/exhaust systems on GM vehicles. Still a great product at a fraction of the retail cost.

Just like what the local shop would sell you.

Bought for a friend and helped install it. This is the exact same unit that your local parts store will sell you. So check your local price and if the savings and your situation call for a wait, by all means order this one. ACDelco is a major automotive brand in the United States. No better or worse than most other similar manufacturers. The original unit in your car could very well have been made by the same company. You might find a better deal in terms of cost from other manufacturers, but…

Problem solved. fits vacuum tees

My wife's 2005 GMC Envoy SLT had a terrible SES code P0410 indicating a problem with the secondary air injection system. After much research I found that the air injection pump was faulty, most likely due to a faulty air check valve. Despite the description, the ACDelco 215-454 is an air pump, NOT a fuel pump. On a 2005 GMC Envoy SLT, this part is located on the driver's side frame rail just below the driver's seat. When I replaced this part, I decided to replace the air injection pump relay at
