Huge savings here on parts

Found this throttle body at Revain for $100 less than the parts store. Big Savings. Just had to take the car to the dealer to program the new part. Possibly add programming instructions.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

after installing this part on a 2006 Pontiac Solstice.

After installing this part on a 2006 Pontiac Solstice, the PCM may need to be reprogrammed to get the correct idle. After my mobile service performed this procedure, the car drove great.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Minor things

2006 Chevy HHR Fail

The electronic throttle on a 2006 Chevy HHR LT 2.4L was not working. The vehicle has not been retrained. Took it to a Chevy dealer, they also couldn't get the part for re-examination. Waste of time and diagnostics at the Chevy dealership cost me $80. I tried to save $40 through Revain instead of O'Reilly auto parts, had to buy another through the parts store instead and had to wait seven days to get my money back.

  • Price
Cons

Much cheaper than in the auto parts store!

Works great on my 2006 HHR 2.4L. If you have a lot of carbon buildup on your old throttle body, it can take a week or more for your computer to get used to the new, clean throttle body. RPMs were initially around 3k idle, now they're back down to around 750 idle. I didn't want to pay the dealer to reboot my computer. Saved over €200 on spare parts alone. Without the installation or restarting the computer (maybe add another $200).

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

arrived quickly. Yeah, I mean after 100,000 miles they start wearing these things. You may be able to take yours apart and clean the TPS sensor, but it will still last anywhere from a month to 6 months. The bushings will wear out over time and that wet, oily PCB air will only mess up the TPS readings again. it's a losing battle. so it's better to buy a new one. and to be honest this TB costs 400 bucks if not more so the price is very reasonable. and it's easy to install. This is TB for Ecotech…

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled
