Description of General Motors OEM 22889450 4 Button Keyless Entry Remote Key Fob

4 button: lock, unlock, panic, and trunk. Brand new OE replacement; the GM recommended replacement for your original keyless entry remote. Great warranty of 12 month/12,000 mile. Battery included with the remote. This remote may be able to be programmed without a technician, but certain vehicles still require that you take it in to a GM dealer or ACDelco service center to be programmed. Check attached instructions to see if there is do it yourself programming for your vehicle.

Check before you buy

Do not purchase until you are sure the frequency is compatible with your current system. I use a purchased keychain as fishing lure.

Pros
  • Have a good time
Cons
  • Volume

Looks and feels 100% the same as the standard remote it replaces

Looks and feels 100% like the standard remote it replaces. Programming for the 2008 Cadillac was easy. I simply entered the DIC via the dash controls, selected the replacement remote, held down the lock and unlock buttons for a few seconds until I heard a beep from the car and the remote was ready to use.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive

Big savings on interior

Had a Cadillac dealer program and it works great on my 2013 CTS. The cost savings were enormous. One retailer charged $140 for the remote key fob alone, plus an additional programming fee.

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Some faults

Works perfectly. Changed the battery on my 2010.

Works great. I replaced the car battery on my 2010 CTS and now the remote control doesn't work. Not sure if it's the remote control, but it worked fine before the car battery was replaced.

Pros
  • Hard wearing surface
Cons
  • Zero

and it was great. It is identical to our number 1 key fob

We needed a number 2 key fob for our Cadillac and it was perfect. It is identical to our number 1 key fob and importantly it is genuine GM gear. We took it to a GM dealer and it was very easy to activate for a reasonable price. We are very happy with this fob.

  • Price
Cons

Too bad I couldn't program it myself, but the dealer should do that

I tried to program myself but couldn't get my 2012 Cadillac CTS 4 into programming mode. My car was at the dealer for warranty work so they programmed it and cut/programmed a new key. This is remote control 2, not 1, please note this when ordering. Works well and only as a backup or when my wife needs my car.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Repair
