Update. they are at least 1 inch shorter. Not sure if lifting the jeep to change a tire will have any effect as the weight pulls the shocks down and not long enough. I plan to get (pin remover) and dial in the MISSING inch. yes another 29 dollars

Just to let everyone know although the item is 5.2lbs and the package weight comes in at 20lbs Keep in mind that you will only get one shock, not two as you might think. I have never changed or bought just one shock absorber in my life, always bought in pairs.

standard good quality shock absorbers. In the future I will change the more powerful shock absorber again. They barely stop the "death wobble" characteristic of the Jeep Cherokee series. Suggestion: When you replace the front shock absorbers, also replace the steering damper shock absorber and don't buy the cheapest unit you can find. Use high performance shock absorbers. This could save your life.
