ACDelco A3181C Professional Air Filter Review

Love OEM products and save tons of money compared to having it installed by a mechanic or dealer. Perfect fit for my 2015 Silverado.

The original air conditioning part number for my 2006 GMC Sierra was A 1581 C. When I searched for an air filter here at Revain this A 3181 C was listed as truck fit. It arrived in a few days and fit perfectly.

Fairly difficult to install a transfer line to the radiator that caused the gas to drop 3mpg but I don't know if the filter does or I miss that the truck runs longer because it's colder outside, we'll see in spring and summer

The lid of the box was awkward to remove, but I was able to remove it. I just bought a truck and changed everything. Could have driven more of the old one but I noticed it was breaking. The filter paper was brittle and easily damaged.

I have decided to replace the FRAM filter that I have been using for about a year with the original ACDelco. I haven't noticed any major improvements in fuel efficiency, but there seems to be more wrinkles here. Since it was about the same price I will probably continue to use ACDelco and not FRAM in the future.

Nice clean well made. It's nice to be able to buy original parts here at the same price as the cheaper ones in the shops. The Delco AC jumps right in, and each screw pushes it a little tight. The feel of the rubber rim can be wider or the like. Still very satisfied and will buy again.

I had a Fram air filter on my 2013 Chevy Silverado and ordered it because it needed to be replaced. The Delco fits in well, but I found that fuel economy was reduced by about 2-3mpg. After a few weeks, my idling in gear was getting rough. I ordered another fram and the rough idle went away immediately and my mpg went up. I do not know. Maybe Delvo had a bad batch. I'm not a big Fram fan, but the truck drives better.

The Revain part number tool showed that A3181C was the wrong part number for my 2018 Silverado 2500HD pickup. However, my Chevrolet owner's manual states that this is the correct number. I felt like I was taking a risk and in the end my lead was right. Shipping was another issue as Prime labeled the original filter box which was quite torn when it got to me. Luckily the item was intact and in good condition. beam
