Haven't needed better parts yet

I thought my sensor was bad. I ordered these as a replacement. I found out that this is not my sensor. It appears to be the right piece and arrived in perfect shape.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

Installed in 5 minutes

WS6 2000 Trans am, side against drain plug. Installation literally took less than 5 minutes. It's an oil level gauge, not an oil pressure gauge.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some defects

Fixed oil leak and low oil message on dashboard

Oil leaked from this part in my 2005 GMC Yukon XL. I replaced this part and the oil no longer leaks and the low oil message is gone. The ideal solution.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

AC Delco will do it again

Always buy AC Delco parts for your Chevy, bought this for my oil gauge which is failing in my 99 Silverado with 5.3 liter LS engine. My warning message was immediately cleared and the oil level was not as low as it was originally due to a cap gasket leak.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Dump

You save a hundred$

oem acdelcocheap (dealer wanted eighty? something $) You will need a custom 27mm 1/2" socket, 1/2" ratchet and long extension (these items alone are close to $100) + auger/scraper to clean old oil pan gasket new oem acdelco (don't fail) use oem for everything or one wrong part will make things wrong, all these systems are interdependent like a 70's pop song. Watch the tutorials, it costs money but you save a hundred dollars. do more yourself

Pros
  • Engine parts

I removed the low oil warning light

I have a '99 Camaro V-8 that showed a low oil warning even though the oil level was not low. I assumed it was a bad sensor and bought a replacement which I installed at my next oil change (note that you don't change it unless you get the oil under the sensor or you have a Confused). ) The sensor did not work right away, but after a few hours the apparently loose part moved into place and the oil level indicator went out. Don't think it won't work if the oil level light doesn't go off within a…

Oil Level Sensor: Engines & Engine Parts

My new oil level sensor is not working. I bought this and pretty much every part I needed to rebuild my 2002 Silverado 5.3 engine. During this time the return window was closed. I'm glad the part was only about $20 so I'm going to buy another one. The problem is that the "Check Engine Oil Level" light stays on all the time, even after countless resets. I am happy to say that this was the only problem I had after starting the engine. It's not the seller's fault as they didn't make the part. I'm…
