Great laptop especially for the price

I like this laptop. It was easy to set up and use. The screen is clear with a great picture, the sound is amazing. The only (very small) issue I had is the size of the touchpad. It's huge. Since I prefer to use a mouse, I would have preferred a small touchpad and a slightly larger keyboard. But that is a personal preference and in no way prevents me from using a computer. I've played a few Tower Defense games (I'm not a huge gamer) and did quite a bit of school work on this computer in the 4 or

Great laptop but annoying issues you shouldn't have with Acer

I've been using this laptop for a few months now and while it's a great laptop there are a few minor annoyances. Worth mentioning and 3 stars as Acer should already be a reliable name. First of all, the grainy webcam is downright awful, even mine says 720p, but not even close. This is a known issue for which no solution is available. Now that there are so many Zoom conferences, I constantly pull out my clip on my webcam so I don't get embarrassed by a video that looks like I'm broadcasting from

Everything ok, but the keyboard is annoying and there is only 1 RAM slot!

This recently purchased Acer Aspire 5 A515-55-56VK replaced my tired old (but wonderful!) Dell XPS15Z. All in all, Acer is a pretty good laptop for the time I'll be using it. It's fast, the screen is very good, and it's pretty light. However, I would not recommend this for heavy users. My main complaint is that the keyboard layout isn't very natural, as the main letter keys are on the left/top of the keyboard area, which pulls me away from the center of the display when typing. And the Delete…

Perfect fit for me - hopefully stays that way

I haven't seen many reviews for this particular processor/model. I've been using this laptop for work from home for about a week now, which means I leave it plugged in to my desk and on for over 8 hours a day while I work with spreadsheets and email clients. Numerous reviews of the i5-10210 processor mention terrible fan noise and poor audio quality, but I didn't experience any of these issues with the i5-1035G1. The fan turns on sometimes when I'm not using the laptop much, but it doesn't run…

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great value for money that could be improved

This is my 3rd Acer laptop (the other 2 are still working) and after 2 weeks it was stable. Works well and with WiFi 6 I get excellent speeds on a 5GHz network. Battery life has been good so far. I will say that the keyboard is thinner and the number pad and function keys are smaller compared to my Aspire E laptop, but there is nice tactile feedback on the keys and the backlight is nice. It was difficult to get the correct configuration information. Like some other reviews, my laptop came with…
