Description of ๐ŸŒˆ Aclorol WS2812B LED Strip Light: Individually Addressable Dream Color, Arduino/Raspberry Compatible, 16.4ft, 150 RGB SMD Pixels

INDIVIDUAL ADDRESSABLE: The WS2812B addressable led strip work great with Arduino, FastLED library, Adafruit NeoPixel Library and Raspberry Pi. It is easy to program when you use a programmable controller such as T-1000S, SP103E or SP105E. FULL COLORFUL: 256 brightness display and full 24-bit color display. Each 5050 SMD w/ WS2811 build in can have its own color and brightness. You can control each LED Pixel individually and set it to any color or animation you want. CUTTABLE&CONNECTABLE: This WS2812B Pixel can be cut off without damaging the rest pixels. Each LED strip comes with 3pin JST-SM connectors and can be connected end to end, Maxim base on you controller. So you can DIY for length you want. HOW TO GET IT WORK: First, you will need an output is 5V power supply and controller (Both donโ€™t include). Second, Connect Power and Ground from Power Supply. AND Connect Ground and Control (data) wire to whatever you are driving the string with - Arduino, ESP8266 or any controller. SAFETY & EASY INSTALLATION. Work under DC6V, low voltage for human safety, low power consumption, energy-saving, super-bright but running with low temperature. It comes with self-adhesive 3M tape on its back, so you can fix it on any dry and flat surface without any screws and clips.

You look good! - LED strip

I really had a good time with this strip. Colors were pretty accurate but I'm happy except it stopped working during testing. I'm pretty sure it failed because I set the brightness to 255 and one of the pixel builds failed. Okay, I have two more strips to experiment with. Thanks for a decent product.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Empty

worked great for me in Novelty Lighting

This is my first attempt at addressable LED strings. The connecting wires on my strip are: Red = Power +5V, Green = Data (logic level 5V), White = Ground. I ran them from an Arduino style board. Remember you need 5V logic levels, 3.3V will not work with this device. I started with the FastLED demos and then modified the code for various effects. Everything worked as expected. I was happy with the product, it's a pretty cool thing!

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Infinite Sluggish

Actually works like WS2811 NeoPixel

Mine works fine but not at first. I had to change my program to run them as WS2811 neopixels to make them work. Changed the initialization in the Adafruit_NeoPixel library call to use NEO_KHZ400 which are V1 Neopixels and now they work fine. So: bar Adafruit_NeoPixel = Adafruit_NeoPixel(NumberOfLeds, GpioPinNum, NEO_GRB + NEO_KHZ400); but it's a great price. A full 16 feet for just $27 is a good deal.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Works great but poor adhesion and weird connectors

Bright, works great with Arduino. There are a couple of issues. Pop up. So far have not been able to solve this problem, they even detach from the double-sided duck tape. Another downside is the non-standard 3-pin, two-wire connector, which requires a lot of DIY work. I had to remove all of those plugs and learn how to crimp Dupont contacts instead. It can be done, but for the price it would be easier. I suggest at least adding a Dupont connector to these power cords.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Out of style

Does exactly what I want. Automatic seasonal decorative lighting

We attached a string to the archway between the dining area and the Great Hall. It used to be decorated with simple Christmas garlands. With an LED strip, an ESP8266 E12 microprocessor, smart Arduino programming, and a wireless connection to our home security/automation system, we now have seasonal decorative lighting. Works exactly as expected. The colors of the LEDs are the same throughout and match well with Adafruit's Arduino NeoPixel library. Because they are decorative, the maximumโ€ฆ

Pros
