These speakers sound great! I have 15 of these around the house, they are powered by a couple of good multi-channel amps putting out 120 watts per zone (stereo pair) and they sound really great. I bought 2 of 5 9 speaker surround setup kits. I set it to 5.1.4 (4 top speakers for Dolby Atmos) and it sounds great. Therefore, audiophile quality was not required, but rather durability/humidity resistance. 3 out of 5 speakers in my R191 pack squeak or have hiss/distortion. Solder residue is everywhere. After all the rave reviews I had high hopes for these speakers. I planned on placing them on my bedroom ceiling by redoing them and scraping off the popcorn trim. I won't play loud in the bedroom, so I have a Bose speaker system downstairs and another setup outside on the patio.
