Great price, great speaker.

Great price for good-sounding speakers. Loaded 4 in a 2200 sqm. Feet powered by a 2 kilowatt amplifier that pushes them to their limits and as long as they are not exceeded they offer a long period of quality listening. Using a ceiling pad or box also provides better bass performance.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Upgrades

Almost great for home audio

I bought this speaker along with a class D power amplifier to boost the sound of a distributed audio system. This definitely adds to the overall sonic complement with the lack of response from the ceiling speakers. I give it one star for the manufacturer's use of ridiculously thin speaker wire. They appear to be about 28 gauge! Of course you'll have to replace with something bigger.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Little things

Acoustic Audio in the wall 10 " subwoofer

Revain ran out of new speakers so I bought a damaged one at a great price. There was a small scratch on the grille which can easily be touched up with some paint. The Speaker works great and I have no problems connecting it to my 110 watt Yamaha receiver I would highly recommend this speaker to anyone with wall mounted speakers I have replaced my Sony standalone subwoofer and am very happy with the results It looks also great looking.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not sure

I think it's ok for the price

In my opinion, a sound system is one of the things in life that you shouldn't skimp on. I'm not saying you should go all out and spend a million dollars on it, but when you take the time to install an embedded system, you want to get it right the first time. I wanted to add some bass to our built in system. It wasn't a speaker. It reproduces mids but not deep enough for bass. I send them back and the search for good built-in basses continues.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • is too stupid

Loud, sounds good. Couldn't get any better at $50

Works. Doesn't sound BIG, but it's definitely good for hiding. You can see the yellow through the bars, so you can put a layer of cloth in front of the device to hide the color. Hell thunders from my wall. I've even screwed drywall screws into the wall and spackled/textured/painted it, but it still rattles. Make sure you have enough blocks in the wall ALL the way around to make sure it doesn't rumble. This was also 5/8 inch drywall.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Decent sound quality.

Has an internal rattle. Not a clean-sounding subwoofer at all - at almost all volumes. You may hear a rattling noise when removed from the plastic bracket in an outdoor configuration. Without the internal rattle, this would be a good sub for the money. UPDATE: I called Goldwood and they sent me a free replacement part with no hassle. Tested and installed - MUCH better. The old block must have had a defect. It's still not perfect, but it's gotten a lot better. No rattling. Break the wire mesh…

Don't hit a dice

The sound is great, the wall is shaking but I won't listen at full power. They will shake your walls! I would suggest building a crate or adding structural support around it if you have space after installation. YOU WILL HAVE SOME POWER! Read how subwoofers work (open, ported, sealed) 2 speakers with Dayton Audio Plate Amplifier by Parts Express. Installed in my wall, not in the ceiling. You might want to get a BLACK sonic cloth to place behind the screens. Because it has a white bezel and a…
