Acrimet 27QT Plastic Recycling Wastebasket Set of 4 - Metal/Yellow, Paper/Blue, Glass/Green, Plastic/Red Review

Although I classify my garbage into five categories (these four plus compost), San Francisco Recology's regular garbage collection is divided into recyclable, non-recyclable, and composted. Has anyone else seen the irony? Using plastic containers to store recyclables?

They fit in the boot of my husband's little Toyota for weekly stops at the recycling yard on his way to work. from us. A large family may want a little more (or get more than one set). They are about the size of next to or under a desk.

I wanted them to like it but a couple of containers arrived broken or cracked on the bottom I guess I'll superglue them as best I can stick it on. Luckily the broken pieces were in the box so it's like putting a puzzle putting it back together. So annoyed I spent $40 on it so it's not worth it.

They were hard to come by but once they were restocked I was able to snag a set of these containers. While they don't quite agree on how my city wants my recycling sorted at the curb, they've really helped me keep my recycling more organized - and I use all of the bins in one way or another. I like that they are color coded and labeled. I was afraid they would be skinny but they are not. Good product.

I am very satisfied with this purchase in every respect! Arrived the next day and was securely packed in the box so no damage! A bright rainbow of colors that instantly motivates you to keep recycling, but finally in an organized way! No more grocery bags sharing my recyclables! I'm staying on Cape Cod for the summer and there isn't regular garbage collection - you have to go to the transfer station and drop off the garbage/recyclable waste, they do runs to the transfer station , the station is MUCH easier (just load it in the trunk) and keeps my kitchen and garage organized and tidy. The only downside for me is that I tend to make more plastic and paper than glass and metal so some fill up fairly quickly and others mostly stay empty but I can't fault the product…
