Great tool for polymer clay

Great tool for polymer clay. Produces 1/16", 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" thick plates. The clay will stick to the roller if it is too warm or if it is one of the softer polymer clays (Original Sculpey, Sculpey III, Fimo Soft). I use Premo! von Sculpey and I had no problem sticking to the roller unless it was overloaded. If he's overwhelmed, I give him some rest. Some reviews say it has some kind of nasty sticker on it that's hard to remove. There are no more stickers on it. Came in a blister pack. The

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Just what I needed

The Activa clay roller set is exactly what I was looking for. I've been using it to make jewelry for a month. It does exactly what it promises and has a good work surface. I've had no issues with the clay sticking to the surface of the board or rolling pin, except when the clay was too wet (water based) or too processed/hot and oily (polymer based). There were no stickers on the board (a new one was bought) so that's not a problem either. If the clay becomes unwieldy I let it cool or dry…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great tool!

Great tool for working with clay. I make clay tiles to decorate small items like boxes. This tool allows me to maintain a consistent thickness of the clay which I then press the patterns into to get the best results for the look of the final product. The tool is easy to use. The product says 8 "nails" but that's a typo, those are splints. There are 4 sets of 2 rails each. Each set of guides of the same height allows you to easily roll clay of a certain thickness - 1/16", 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4"…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
