I just received these sponges and after the first use I noticed my skin was softer straight away. I've used it at least ten times and I love them. I used to only use cleansers and never felt like my face was ever 100% clean but now after using these sponges it is. They come in an elegant box but when you open it you will see what appears to be 3 very hard coarse charcoal briquettes. I finally tried one, but it doesn't look at all like other konjac sponges I've used. They're more like sponges in the kitchen sink, only small and black. I got NONE of the polished leather that other brands have given me. I placed the sponge in a jar with about 2 inches of water. I wash my face with soap and water with my hands (never with a washcloth). Tips: It tightens pores, but don't think that it will work overnight or over several days. It takes some time. Took me about 10 days or so.
