Danco is the best toilet shut-off lever

I first bought a Danco system with a knob for my main bathroom and then another with a handle for my bathroom. I liked the one-handle system better, so I decided to replace the knob in the bathroom. The installation took me less than 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Security

If you need it, you need it. This is a replacement grip.

This only applies to certain models of dual flush toilet valves. You either know what it is and what it's for, or you're looking for the wrong thing. My handle broke after about 8 years and it was significantly cheaper than replacing the entire flush valve and handle. There is also a buttoned version but I prefer that style but that's a personal preference.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here

Weak for rough plumbing

I bought this handle to replace the one I currently have on my toilet. This pen feels very light and not very strong. Made of plastic and looks very fragile and flimsy. I don't have a lot of confidence in this grip so I got a boost. I'm currently looking for a flush trigger with a split metal handle that will last for years. I would only take this product as a last resort.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some trouble

Wow - great product!

My project has never gone so smoothly and quickly. These pens have a plastic stick on the back that fits into a small box inside the tank. I broke a rod that had been in use for many years. I didn't install those "guts" of the toilet, so I'm always so confused when I look in the tank. This repair turned out to be the easiest toilet repair I've ever done. I'm not exaggerating when I say I got everything up and running in less than 3 minutes. Unbelievable! Would give 10 stars if I could!

  • Robust design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

That saved me from being replaced.

Bought a dual flush kit from Costco that comes with a split knob. The button housing protruded too far for the seat cover to rest on the button and not the tank cover. Decided to order one of these pens to see if it solves the problem. The pivot point of this handle tapers downwards and thus now releases 2 lids. Very happy with the spacing but the plastic construction leaves a lot to be desired. MAKE SURE THE CONTROL UNIT YOU CONNECT TO YOUR CURRENT KIT HAS A GREEN PLUG. ONLY THE BLUE PLUG IS…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons

These flush handles work great and do the job! I like them MUCH more than the buttons that came with the dual flush system as the seat/cover rests on them and I couldn't flush without getting them out of the way! Single/double drops aren't as noticeable as we'd like. but at least when you see a pen, you know what to do with it. All my kids have been asking how they flush with the button?! They install in a minute, but they connect to an alternate connection point from a button with a green…

Definitely easier to use than the push button model

I used to install 3 push button toilets but when the toilet lid was up it covered the button quite a bit making flushing difficult. These flushing levers solved this problem perfectly. The only issue I had with installing it was that the green clip holding it was not a spring loaded clip like the blue button. Another thing not mentioned in the instructions that made the installation easier was that when I pushed the box I put a little pressure on the lever which allowed the box to "pop out"…

This is plastic for toilet lever

This is a good handle for two flushes because most people are used to using the flush lever instead of pressing the button. This handle is chrome plated plastic so I imagine one day it will become brittle and break. I left the included button triggers in the dual flush kit in case this ever happens. I would really like to see a solid metal or ceramic handle made for this dual flush system. I thought $10 was too much for a plastic pen, but I would be willing to pay $15 for a real metal pen. I am
