I really appreciate all aspects of this foot/ankle cooling therapy! It stays cold for the 15-20 minutes it takes me to fix my sprained ankle. After a few hours in the freezer it will get cold enough to use again. It is comfortable and safe to walk on. I like that the gel holder pockets can be moved/adjusted inside the cape. It's great that you can buy more gel packs so you don't have to wait for the cape to cool down again. Freezer. 2 more of them would be very helpful to me now. I highly…

Safety Issues - Healthcare Products and Devices

Seams on packaging get much hotter than the rest of the packaging. Microwave the packets for 30 seconds, squeeze and mix the contents of the gel. Do this several times to ensure even heat distribution. Keep in mind that the seams get so hot they burn your skin while the center of the pack stays relatively cool. The cloth pouch has two pockets, one for each gel pack: the depth of the pocket barely covers the seam of the pack, and there is no Velcro to prevent the packs from moving up or falling…

Reliable quality that works

ActiveWrap foot and ankle wrap is the perfect product This is a high quality product that has reduced inflammation in my swollen ankle. I wish I had because of the many injuries I've had in sports since my school days. After reading many reviews I realized that this is the best company for me. This wraps the entire area and helps reduce swelling faster than disposable ice packs. This is more cost effective in the long run and does a much better job than "icing". I screamed the first time I used

Perfectly places an ice pack for Achilles tendonitis

I bought this brand because I felt it was the best for placing an ice pack deep on the back of the heel to treat Achilles tendonitis , after I can say that it works great for this purpose. I love that the pocket that holds the ice pack has a liner so you can place the ice pack on the back of the liner. The idea is to cool the inflamed area instead of freezing it. One thing I would like to improve is designing the wrap to have a 90 degree curve in the heel. Right now I'd say the bend is 20…

Loyal customer because there is nothing like it!

A few years ago I bought a wrist wrap for quick relief from pain. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and carpal tunnel. Heat is stored in the gel pack itself over a long period of time. The same applies to cooling the gel pack. I've even traveled with them. I have damaged two gel packs from a faulty microwave and another from prolonged overuse of the microwave and freezer. To contain myself I opted for cheaper heating/cooling packs that were stronger on the outside because I'm pretty tough with

My new favorite ankle wrap

This is my second ActiveWrap review since reviewing a knee wrap that I also like. I have several icing solutions/bandages for different body parts. This is my new favorite for the ankle. Now I have several broken legs. One of them is outside the ankle. The icing helps me a lot, and most of the time when I'm on the air I just get frosted. This thing stays on securely and gives me just the right amount of cold (which I can adjust if needed) right where I need it. how is it. I love it because it…

Best Ice Wrap line I've seen

Bought this as a gift for a friend who was having foot surgery. She often followed directions and placed ice on her leg, but kept an inelastic brick-shaped ice pack with her so its contact with the affected area was minimal. On my recommendation, my colleague received such a package for his aching foot and he is delighted. My good friend also liked this gift and said it helped a lot. She has normal or maybe even small feet, but I bought her an XL size to accommodate all the bandage on that…
