Enhance Engine Performance with 🔧 Actron CP7528 Advance Timing Light - Gray Review

I checked the time on my car and was so disappointed I couldn't see the time stamp in daylight when I checked the time on my '89 Mustang GT. I cannot recommend this time display as I checked the time on my dad's cars years ago and have never had a problem with a bright enough time light like I have with this one.

The description says "Molded inductive pickup via spark plug wire". It is not. It's metallic. I bought this Actron light to check the time on my 1930 Ford Model A. The "wires" of the connector are copper strips. Because the pickup is metal, it transfers the spark to your HAND when it makes contact with the "wire" of the plug. What a rude awakening. My other Actron headlight with inductive plastic sensor works great on a Ford Model A. No bumps.

I was satisfied when I started using it. Then the pickup wire became stiff, as if it might become brittle. I've been using it for a year, maybe two to time the same car and never seem to be able to get it set up. The last time I used it the bulb apparently burned out because it stopped blinking midway through the engine sync and it looks like it can't be replaced without destroying the rest of the tool by trying to open it. Needless to say, I am currently looking for another one.

This is exactly what I needed. This is a synchro lamp with a BRIGHT xenon flash lamp for use in broad daylight as the description states. The second feature I needed was ADVANCED. My car should be set to 10 degrees BTDC (Before Top Dead Center). Without a pre-function, this is a real torment for my machine. This light is pretty good overall and I've enjoyed using it so far. I have inherited this particular model from a friend for many years and can say the same about this light every time it has worked well. The dialer feature comes in handy when messing around with different timings. As you can see from the photos this thing comes in serious packaging but the price is right and it works.
