doesn't last. Best spare parts

Took 6 months. Then the door sensor broke (that was wrong with the stock unit, but it lasted 12 years!). This causes the radio to stay on after opening the door and various other electrical oddities. Poor choice of architecture by GM but in this case you get what you pay for. I would not recommend that.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Expensive

Fits and works in engines

I am generally against buying fakes like this. But given that I couldn't find a factory GM unit for less than $200 back then, I decided it wasn't financially irresponsible not to try. If it lasts a year then it's worth it. However, it works as it should and is fairly close to factory fit and form. No installation problems and works immediately. So far I have not regretted the purchase.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Great product, just a small detail.

Excellent product. All of my door locks have been defective for years and I finally found the time to order a replacement. It took me several hours because I really didn't know how to disassemble the doors. Pretty easy to install, the only downside I have for this product is that there is an orange plastic bracket surrounding the locking lever that doesn't fit properly. I ended up using an old door latch bracket and it worked fine. Otherwise I have installed this door lock for 6 months and am…

Only took 6 months

Update - stopped working after 6 months. I take good care of my truck so that it is not used roughly. Should have bought a factory part. GM car door latches are known to fail, so I was pleased to find this inexpensive aftermarket replacement for the Revain. My driver's side lock matched perfectly with identical clips and connectors and worked flawlessly. I saved a lot of money compared to the dealer prices. A note for Chevy Silverado 1500 owners, if none of your door locks are working, you may…

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested

Works correctly on first install

Find a video on YouTube yourself. If you're willing and have the right tools, this should take 30 minutes or less. I managed this in about 30 minutes including removing the door panel twice because I forgot to reconnect one of the wiring harnesses the first time and it fell out the door. Tools needed: 10mm socket with a long torx extension (I think it's a T25, quite large), a small flathead screwdriver, a plastic pry bar (I used a bike tire puller). Flashlight (yes, even during the day) Door…

  • Absolute legend

  • Poorly thought out
