Ideal for sampling and spectrum analyzers etc.

This sensor is for recording music, although it has aggressive auto gain it works well for my stereo spectrum analyzer project.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Vulgarity

No problem! I like.

Neat amp! I played around with it as the manufacturer explains and it works. I had it on my breadboard so I tried different capacitor values and I think this board will be fun to play with.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works great when connected to Arduino

Works great when connected to Arduino. Bought three of these to run three different sets of lights for my daughter's art project. They even pick up sounds from across the room with maximum gain.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Works well but definitely larger than expected

I was hoping this form factor would be small enough to fit on a quad, but it's actually very, very large - about an inch across the long side ? Maybe I'll find a use for it somewhere else - it's just not the right thing for it :'(

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Only available in white

microphones! for receiver and amplifier

I used these mics as part of a project to turn on a line-in only recorder to capture sound from a mic. If I power the mics directly from a large lithium ion battery and use a voltage converter to power the recorder, then supply decoupling capacitors with the mics factory configured for gain and attack and I get a perfect line -Output back to my recorder. Compensating for one's own level does not cope. The recorder is stereo so I used two microphones.

Pros
  • Crossing my thumbs
Cons
  • Many things

Better than I expected

I was amazed at how sensitive this thing was. I used it on a suit that picked up ambient sounds (e.g. music) which I then distributed to a light display. But even when no music was playing, this thing could pick up the faintest sounds; As I placed it against my temple, I was pretty sure it was picking up the sound of blood coursing through my veins along with my heartbeat. That's fine if you don't want to mess with the gain control, but the fact that it "normalizes" the sounds around you has…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Hey, this works damn well

I've looked at a lot of diagrams online, but I'm just not an electrical engineer. I design structures, not schemes. Well, if I find such pearls, I'm happy. That aside, this device actually works exceptionally well - it's easy to assemble using the manufacturer's instructions, all the parts are fairly cheap and available here at Revain. Turn it on and lo and behold - it works really well. . with some caveats 1) VERY high gain so to speak "out of the box" - but they tell you how to turn it down…

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
