I have ordered from Cable Creations twice. Adapter HDMI-DVI (3 pcs.) and HDMI-Display Port (1 pc.). They had the same problem. There was no indication signal. I work in IT and have made sure to fix bugs to pinpoint the root cause. Everything else worked except for these adapters. Electronics sometimes fail, but I've tried 4 adapters from this company and none have worked. Either super bad luck or bad quality control (probably the latter). I will definitely not be ordering from these guys again.

I ordered this adapter on September 22, 2018. He died today October 24th 2018. Connection issue and I blamed it on my HDMI cable. Then I bought another one and still had the same problems. Now it doesn't work at all on my external monitor! I decided to go this route instead of buying a real displayport cable, but I see I need to do it. I would not recommend this product at all.

My graphics card has multiple DP ports and only one HDMI. So I got this for my second monitor. From time to time I connect it to my TV to watch something from my computer, eventually I'll buy another one. It's very cheap and I'm not sure what buying a more expensive one will do for you because it gets the job done just fine. Just plug it in and bam. Visually, it looks exactly like the image shown: size, font, color, everything. I've been using it for over two months and have no complaints.

I tried this with an EVGA GeForce 1050 ti, the HDMI output on this adapter and the DisplayPort input on a Dell P1914Sc monitor. It behaved as if nothing was connected. I know the graphics card output is ok by testing direct HDMI on another monitor. The clips that hold them to the DP are very difficult to detach and it looks like I'm about to break something if I try to remove them from my graphics card.
