Plastic outer shell and inner parts do not fit together properly. This initially prevented the mini-USB from physically accepting the adapter. The adapter could not be inserted into the mini USB end because the hole did not match. Eventually, I managed to lift the inside of the adapter just enough to plug it into the mini-USB port. As it stands, they're perfect for my needs (when using a mini-USB cable with a USB-C device), offering a clean and compact look in a solid form factor - all at a reasonable price for such a niche product.
