I was really surprised at how well this worked. It was easy to install and set up. The video quality on my TV is excellent even with USB 2.0. I also stream audio over an HDMI connection. This works well too, although it's only stereo as far as I can tell. So far I've watched 4 or 5 hours of the show and haven't seen any issues with buffering or audio tracking in the video. Everything worked very well. I can use 1920 x 1080 resolution with my 60 inch Vizio TV.

Don't waste your time with cheaper products where you can get them. Turn it off, reinstall, do it etc. I spent hours trying to get another product to work but no joy sent it back. This product is plug and play. It installs itself and doesn't conflict with anything. Well worth the extra $5 not to endure any annoyances. Update 12/20/20 Worked great until yesterday. buy returns. Return to the drawing board.

I had to buy a USB to HDMI adapter for my graphics tablet and laptop. insultingly bad, and the screen got stuck on the low jpeg version of my desktop. It's so, so bad. Please don't waste your money on this product. I relied on this to work on the art and am very disappointed. I will get my money back and return this garbage.

I'm trying to use this to add a second display to my laptop which only has an HDMI port. He connects the second monitor, but poorly. When plugged in, the resolution is much lower than it should be and for some reason steals the sound. This adapter really messed up my work laptop's sound settings. The IT guy spent almost an hour downloading the drivers and getting the display working on the second monitor. All sounds were deleted when calling with Microsoft Teams on a laptop. I can only see my home screen on the monitor it's set up for, but I can't drag my mouse or pages on it.
