caused my headphones to never show up; HUGE problem

Externally this product worked fine, but its driver also interacted poorly with the Dell Realtek audio driver package, resulting in the computer no longer recognizing headphone jacks when the monitor also had a headphone jack. It took me weeks to narrow down the problem to this component (I used 2 monitors, one directly to HDMI and the other with this converter). When a problem arose, it was very difficult to fix, requiring complete removal of all audio devices, multiple reboots, etc. In the…

Great for older non-Thunderbolt laptops

My work laptop has a USB-C port, but I found out the hard way that it's not Thunderbolt 3 compatible and doesn't work for video. I have this one instead and it works great. I assumed the refresh rate would be terrible since it's USB 3 instead of USB C, but Windows shows 60Hz and it seemed to keep up with my other external monitor connected to the laptop's HDMI port is. Didn't work for Computers & Accessories

Wanted to hook up laptop to spare TV in guest room to visit company. As a background, I have been in the internet technology field for 15 years. I installed the correct software and the device was recognized by the computer and everything quickly connected despite unhelpful prompts.
