Overall this is a good document. I am using it on a 2020 Macbook Pro model. The advantages are that it has a low profile and is easy to use. I have purchased several of these adapters for my shop where we use MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops! I have no doubt that they will stand the test of time, travel and reliability. I really like the USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports and that it fits like it's part of the laptop itself. We just couldn't do our job without these adapters because we couldn't share files across USB sticks and memory cards. I'm using this on a 2018 13" Mac Pro. I have nothing to do. It plugs straight into two USB-C ports and I was able to use the USB scanner right away No problems so far. It feels solid and high quality and has a good range of ports. Multiple USB ports as well as HDMI and even C instead of the two you just added with the adapter. One too if needed Micro SD card reader. In general, it works great. The cost is about $30, which is probably in line with average prices.
