Inexpensive, does the job

It's very easy to use and great value for money. Most should know that if your drive doesn't show up, you should search Windows for "Disk Management" (with the drive and cable attached) and you'll scroll and see two drives. This will walk you through the setup and then and there when you're done you'll have a hard drive which is essentially a very large and very cheap USB stick. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • SATA cable
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

does what it says - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

Don't expect it to work very well with hard drives, even the 2.5" devices I've connected to it had a number of issues. I used it to connect hard drives to my Rpi4 media server but had endless problems until I switched to an externally powered solution. too unreliable for use in a media server scenario (probably it wasn't designed for this use case anyway, so I'll give it 5 stars anyway)

Pros
  • Computer and Accessories
Cons
  • Weak Set

It works. That's it.

This doesn't really need a review, but I'll write it anyway. The cable works. After my laptop was covered in dust and running around a lot with a crappy "repairman", all I had to do was take it apart and wipe the data off the hard drive, and that's how I did it. It's simple, it's straightforward and it worked without any problems. I've only had to use it once at the time of writing, but it's basically just a patch cord and I don't see how that could be a problem in the future.

Pros
  • Computer Accessories and Peripherals
Cons
  • Shape is optional

Didn't work and it's a waste of time to avoid it.

used to clone HDD to SSD, I received a write error after half an hour of transfer, resulting in a complete failure. Wasted time and frustration checking everything, I really thought I had a bad SSD and returned it. Until I ordered a different brand of cable, only a dollar more expensive. Everything worked right away with the new cable. Spend a dollar more and avoid disappointment days.

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Too long to wait
