This is EXACTLY what you would expect. It adds a Vesa mount to a screen that doesn't have that option. The problem only exists with the original monitor, not with the stand. The original monitor stand hangs under the monitor. You can see it in the picture. This is NOT the bracket's fault. If you're really interested, you can turn it off. I am satisfied with the product. This allows me to operate the monitor in my device with two hands.

I do the job as advertised, but it's just rounded U-bars that attach to the monitor's vertical bar with screws. The screws are not tightened enough to ensure a secure connection. There's a nice plate that attaches to the U-bars and a VESA compatible plate. It relies on gravity to sit in the U-shaped bars. Adjusting the monitor stands allowed me to get it working in a way that served the intended purpose.

I bought this product hoping to be able to connect it to my two AOC monitors. After installation, the design did not suit me. I know it's not HumanCentric's fault, but the monitors just got bulky after installation. I also had an issue with the nuts for one of the fasteners. Assembling was a little tricky as you first need to insert a spacer that fits against the back of the monitor to keep it stable and threads through the top hole onto the VESA plate, but it will not work if you have first started attaching the U-bolts; Also, I had trouble holding the screws in place and tightening them myself because there was a lot of play between the parts, but it would have been a lot easier with an extra pair of hands. The monitors this mod is designed for do not have the standard VESA threaded hole pattern for mounting the monitor to a wall or a swiveling desktop mount. I have to say straight away that the minor issues I'm having with this mount are more related to the design of the AOC monitor than the design of this adapter. The adapter itself is very simple. It is a flat plate with drilled and threaded holes for VESA mounting and its stabilizer. It comes with two U clamps, lock washers and nuts. It installs *really* quickly.
