Quality seems good but as other reviewers have pointed out the problem with these lamps is that not all lamps have a thread for the stem, resulting in crooked shades. In my experience, I only bought 1 screwed in properly out of 2 lamps. The other had to be adjusted to have an even hue (resulting in the lamp mount being damaged when trying to harden the hue). If this problem were fixed, these would be very good lamps.

We bought two sets of bedside lamps. I love pulling the chain; much easier to turn on and off while lying in bed. They were very easy to set up - everything is already connected pretty well, you just need to gently twist them together. The lamps and lampshades were packaged very well and arrived undamaged. The shape is very nice but now that I have it in front of me I am very disappointed with the workmanship. Bought for brass and wood. The brass is perfect and the shade has a nice linen finish. but the wood - it's almost red and hard with no grain so looks totally wrong and doesn't match other mid-century furniture I have. I was initially hesitant to order this after reading reviews saying it was difficult to assemble. It's not hard at all - just follow the instructions and take extra care to pull the cord from the bottom outwards so you don't have any more slack than you need as you spin each bar. When I opened the box, I immediately regretted it. The lampshade was slightly bent, although with some effort I managed to get it back to its original position, which isn't necessary with a $75 lamp. They are attractive, especially for the price. But I have a few design issues that prevent a higher score. Lampshades do not sit straight due to poor design. (Shade continues the first couplets hanging on the harp). This means that you cannot align it by hand as the lampshade is integrated into the lamp.
