I recently upgraded my main unit and needed to remove the existing Scosche magnetic mount. It was a direct replacement (with some space left over) and also allowed me to fit a subwoofer boost button on the underside of the dash. Sticks fast and sticks very well! Just make sure you clean up the space before attempting to place it. ensures good adhesion.

As the name suggests, I live in Phoenix and everyone knows it's insanely hot in the summer. I needed to replace the windshield on my car and when I removed the DVR mount from the old windshield it destroyed the adhesive pad. I ordered a set of these and although I had to trim the lining to fit, it works great. So far it has held up here all summer with no problems, although it has had to be downsized. Highly recommended for this use case.

Good/good enough. I used it to reattach the phone stand to my car and the first stand I used seemed to melt. I followed the instructions: clean all surfaces, attach to stand first, wait two hours, attach to surface, wait overnight. And unfortunately the first one I used came loose and had melted a bit. I bought these because my rear DVR wouldn't stick to my car window. I live in Arizona so the temperature in my car is high. The adhesive supplied by the DVR manufacturer was not strong enough. I highly recommend following the directions for the best results. I used a Goo-Gone to remove the old glue, used rubbing alcohol to clean the surface, rubbed lightly with sandpaper and glued (press firmly) the seal for a few hours before attaching it to the window. So much better. But it's like something even better for a rough surface. I had to use a smoother area in the wrong place because it wasn't designed to cover the track. It lasts well for 2-3 days but I put my magnetic phone on the base very carefully and take it off because it looks like it might come out easily. So far everything is fine after a few weeks. It works for the most part. I followed the instructions and let it sit for 48 hours before placing the phone on the charging cradle. That worked great. It's been warmer and sunnier this week as we near spring and it's starting to move off the dash. I pushed it back and held it for a good 5 minutes and it seems to stay. For some reason the adhesive on my Thinkware X700 mount stopped sticking to the windshield. I ordered these four replacement adhesives hoping they would work rather than shelling out another $5 for an OEM mount. While these adhesives work as they should, I would like the size to be larger or large enough to allow for custom cutouts.
