We LOVE adidas shoes, they are almost the only shoes we buy for our son. However, this particular design was poorly made, at least for children. The orange loops keep the laces in place, and within a week of actually wearing them, almost all of the orange loops had come loose from the shoe, leaving the laces with nothing to hold them in place. Very disappointed with this design.

While they were comfortable, good looking, and had a decent profile, there were little elastic straps that held the laces in place and snapped instantly! So my son couldn't lace them up properly even though they were barely worn. We had to turn them in a few weeks after we had them.

He liked the look and fit of the shoes, but when he put them on the second time, the orange clasps holding the laces broke. So for us it was a waste of money.

These shoes didn't even last a day. After an hour of wearing BOTH shoes, the orange laces that served as eyelets came loose. Useless.

The laces on both shoes came undone. I don't know why we can't just make lace-up shoes. It would eliminate such problems.

These were great shoes for my son. About 48 hrs. Then one of the ties securing the laces broke rendering them unusable. This is clearly an ongoing problem based on other reviews. Look elsewhere without this "innovative" lacing system.

The orange lace loops ripped when first worn. Got a replacement. The same thing happened. I no longer order Adidas. Sneakers are great but the lace strap that holds the lace itself came ripped. I made it work but it didn't come without a tear.

We bought these for my second grader and kept them for school. When he started wearing them, the rubber toe cap began to separate from the shoe within a few days. It's 2 weeks to wear them to school. Disappointing

My 11 year old loved the look of these sneakers but the lace eyelets broke after about 15 minutes of wearing them around the house. Best Buy's return process was easy.

Bought these for my 4 year old for preschool, we usually walk in velcro shoes but they are really good, fit him perfectly and stay connected. They look just like the pictures and he can run fast in them, he said! Here's the thing, we ask him to get his shoes, he brings us these. Now it's his shoes! Good bye!

A week after my son wore these shoes, the two straps holding the laces in place came loose. I would not recommend this shoe.

My 10 year old loves these shoes! This was the third pair in a row we have ordered (after he outgrew the old pair). It all went black and black and white, but we both really like these dark grey/neon green ones - they look really cool. They fit well and wear well - he wears them every day and none of the pairs we've had have worn out.

The orange laces that held the laces in place broke on the second day. After that, they started walking one by one. I made holes in the eyelids to fit the laces so they work now. But don't expect lace eyelets to work.

My son wore these shoes on his first day of school. The loops through which the laces are threaded broke within the first hour he wore them - on both shoes! You can't even thread the laces through real sneakers, so he can't even wear them with broken laces. Definitely defective item.

My daughter and I really like the look of the shoe, she says they are very comfortable, but they broke her first wear . The laces are fed through small elastic loops, and the elastic zippers pull up and stick out to reveal frayed ends. I thought it was an accident so I exchanged them for a new pair - the same thing happened the second time I wore them. Unfortunately both pairs were sent back - much to my daughter's chagrin.

I wanted to love them. They look good and are perfect for a dress code, but the shoes aren't built to last. I bought them a month before school started and when my son used them we were past the return period which really sucks because they didn't work the first time he used them.
