They are very cute! However, they are a bit big. I received my son's normal size and would like to go down a size. They are longer than most of his size shoes. They are wider than most boys' casual shoes (Sperry/Converse/Sambas Addidas) that we've tried. My son has a wider/thicker foot and they seem to fit the width well.

Definitely not sneakers in my opinion, although comfortable. I wear them as casual everyday shoes that go with almost any outfit. I usually wear women's 7.5 but I ordered the Big Kid 6.5 and they fit perfectly. The only complaint I had was that they rubbed uncomfortably on the outside of my foot at the widest point the first few times I wore them. This may be due to my feet being wider than average, but the problem went away after I fractured them a bit and now they are perfectly comfortable…
