I use it in a reef aquarium. Which gives .

I use it in a reef tank. This gives me control over all my hardware. No more tangled cords to turn off pumps and skimmers during a water change. Just flip a few switches and I'm done. I changed it a little bit. I sealed all seams and screw heads with aquarium sealant. After connecting the devices, I painted the plugs and sockets with plastic dip from home depot. It's mounted high up in my cabin and exposed to heavy evaporation. That is the reason for the impregnation. 10/10 would buy again.

Good quality switch extension cord

I haven't seen the UL markings but that doesn't mean they're junk. I opened up one of mine to check the wiring inside and that was it. looked good and high quality. The switches turn on and off nicely with a nice click, no soft junk. The rear end caps are good. I use 2 of these for my aquarium. Easily turn pumps, heaters, skimmers, etc. on and off for maintenance or feeding. I'd say my only downsides are that the back spacing is a bit tight, so the block power supplies that some devices use…

ADJ Power Supply in Power Strips & Surge Protectors

I built a charging station for power tools, Rigid, Ryobi and Echo, as well as chargers for my cell phone, batteries for Canon cameras and even a Fire HD tablet 10. With this power strip from ADJ I can keep all my chargers plugged in but only turn on the ones I need. It works great and is just right. Other items purchased from Revain for this charging station include the Navepoint Server Rack and Rack Shelf, the Navepoint Rack Mount Box for storing charged batteries, and the Leopardprintfans…

Don't buy this. This is a fire hazard.

While researching this extension after the server went down last night, I tried toggling the switch that leads to it. It has been completely discontinued. Switches could not be activated. The most amazing thing of all. The power strip claims each switch can handle up to 10A at 115V. With the switches removed, their encapsulation claims they can handle up to 16A at 115V each. I only pushed about 4A through one switch and worse, about 2A through the other which was completely burned out. These…

Useful extension cord fits power strips and surge protectors

First of all, this is NOT a voltage regulator - it's an extension cord. That's not to say it's a bad product, but you do need good, clean, grounded outlets to get optimal performance from this unit as it doesn't 'condition' the performance like a Furman or anything like that. However, this unit is great for my external sound processing stand in my studio. I use it to turn on or off my devices that don't have a power button. The switches feel nice and tight, they all glow evenly when on, and the

Cheap switches in a box

Please note that the 15A rating of this device refers to the device as a whole, not to an individual channel. The switches are of poor quality, there is no active circuitry or isolation in the box itself, it's just 8 switches wired in parallel inside the box. Any given switch will not handle a large turn-on load like a power amplifier. I disabled three of these switches by hooking up a Mackie power amp. All of the switches failed as soon as I turned the unit on and stayed in the open position…

Ideal for lab switches

I used this product to tidy up my Cisco Lab Switch rack so I only had to turn on certain switches when I was doing labs and it works and looks good. It's been a little over a year since I installed it and I've turned my socket 2 on and tried turning it off when I was done and it won't cycle on and off again. I confirmed it wasn't turned off because the device connected to it still had power. I'm not sure what happened but just wanted to mention it. Now I only have 7 switches working. UPDATE: I…

not entirely harmless.legal.

There is a large warning at the top: DO NOT EXCEED 10 A PER CHANNEL. This is underscored by the fact that the device is NOT certified (UL Listed) by Underwriter Laboratories. There's even a review that claims the device set itself on fire. I'm pretty sure, but not sure I know why this is all true, and I think they're all related. So I took it apart. The device starts with a 3x14ga heavy-duty power cable. It enters the chassis and the ground wire is immediately bolted to the larger half of the…
