As a result of my tests, I determined that this backplate radiator truly improves heat dissipation. The adjustable design allows for easy installation and customization to fit a variety of different motherboard layouts. The only downside is that the initial installation can be a bit tricky and time-consuming. Overall, this product is a great investment for anyone looking to improve their system's thermal management.
Pros
Provides efficient cooling for computer systems
Cons
Requires proper installation to ensure proper function
I chose one of these for my MSI Tomahawk 450Max. I used AMD Spire cooler. After customizing the mount for the AM4, I proceeded to install the cooler. The thread seemed a bit wobbly, but the cooler screwed perfectly into the first rack. The rest of the posts are split along the thread axis. It wasn't a good situation and I had to throw the whole mount away as the posts that came with it were proprietary to that brand's mount. Spend a few bucks more and get a better motherboard processor bracket.
I have this adjustable back plate with the intention of using it on my current AM3+ board now and being able to use it with an AM4 board in the future. Unfortunately this is not possible. The included thread, 3mm as stated, will NOT fit standard screws and will not fit Corsair Hydro Series AIO stands. It would be an easy "5" if the flow was 6-32 to match the hardware previously quoted. Not sure what the 3mm is for as there are no screws (as advertised) or documentation/information. Of course…
