Adjustable Rolling Thickness Baking Stainless Kitchen & Dining Review

When my rolling pin arrived the rubber rings had a bitter chemical smell. The silicone is supposed to be odorless so I was concerned that the rings were not actually silicone as advertised but I flame tested them and they burned to an inconsistent white ash flame which is typical of silicone so check look at that. I will be cooking the rings to try and remove the smell and if that works I will update the rating to five stars

Easy to clean and durable. The reason I bought it was to have the exact thickness for crust and bread. The problem is that there are no size markings on the rings. They stamped the company name on the inside of the rings, why didn't they stamp the thickness measurements on the inside? I have recipes that call for a specific thickness, so I wanted to be more specific. If you need that level of precise thickness, this isn't for you. Great rolling pin! I use it to roll sugar cookies. I wish there was a size between 5mm and 8mm because I've found that neither gives me the ideal thickness I'm looking for. That being said, both 5mm and 8mm still look good and bake well! The only other reason I didn't give this needle 5 stars is that I find the rubber rings compress a little when a lot of pressure is applied - this can sometimes cause me to have an uneven cookie dough.
