Adjustable Standard Adapter Attaching Lampshade Review

Very surprised at the quality of this item. Well built, easy to set up, multiple configurations. Would definitely buy again.

It wasn't as durable as I was hoping. It doesn't hold the lamp as tight as it should to prevent the lampshade from moving. upset.

Top deco ball has wrong thread size. Our ball just sits on top. It should be screwed in, but the screw is too small for the topper's threads.

It is not possible to assemble the parts so that they are permanently attached to the lamp. Everything swings around and there's no way to squeeze the pieces together to keep the shadow even and not get tipsy. They are a terrible design to say the least and I am returning them for a refund asap!

Due to my desire not to go to the nearest Lowes store to buy an adjustable cap (as I have in the past) because of Covid I ordered this cap from Revain. I was glad it works better (and is less likely to fall apart) than the one I once bought from the retail store mentioned.

The adjustable feature was the reason I chose this item and the fact that it came with two lamp mount options. However, the adjustable harp part also makes the whole thing extremely wobbly. In addition, the possibility of putting it around the base of the light bulb had too large a diameter, which made the option useless. So, as I said in the title, options are a good idea in theory, they're just not well implemented.

Great harp. I am very happy that I can easily customize it. There are two set screws that can be turned by hand (I'd say needle nose pliers will help with arthritic hands). Once the set screw is loosened, a simple twist of the inner shaft and a quick pull or push in or out will quickly bring it to the required length. Turn and install the screw. That's all.
