Our kitchen would be inconceivable without these shakers. The new 4-piece set is easy to hold, the blade is wide and strong enough to spread hard butter, cream cheese, peanut butter, mayonnaise. everything we have tried so far. The serrated edge also cuts well. I can't ask for more. By the way, the customer service is great! Thank you!

I ordered them (set of 4) but Revain only sent 2 in a plastic box clearly stating it was a set of 4 . I contacted them and they sent me a set of 4 - all going well. Then I washed one of these in the dishwasher and the handle broke off and the blade discolored - a rainbow effect. I hand washed another one and there were stains from the wood on my drying mat. I have other kitchen utensils with wooden handles and can easily wash them by hand or in the dishwasher. Not a happy customer.

great purchase---great spreaders with a serrated edge on one side of the cutting blade. I have solved the problem that many have said that the handles cannot withstand water. Before using them, I dipped the pins in a jar of urethane and hung them to dry for a day (do this over newspaper so they don't drip onto the floor). This protects the handles and also gives them a nice look. . Eureka! Now you can put them in the dishwasher. Maybe the manufacturer should do that so customers don't have to.
