This glue gun is very low and definitely different from the high temperature guns I usually buy. It heats up fairly quickly and stays warm for the duration of use. Works very well. It gets hot enough to melt the glue, and when the melted glue comes out of the tip, the glue itself is hot, but still not hot enough to seriously burn anyone.
