GREAT PRODUCT - EASY TO USE, DOES WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO DO!

Received on time and with no issues. Since I have an X-box and an A/V receiver on two different sides of my entertainment cabinet (EC), I didn't used the supplied mounting bracket. My EC has one of those paper backs, so it was easy for me to use the grill of one to cut out a hole and mount fans individually to the back of my EC. I used the supplied cut out to draw a perfect fit cutout for the digital display. This works awesome. The two fans are very quiet - I don't hear them on. They come on…

Pros
  • Designed and tested to ensure reliability and durable performance
Cons
  • The cooling system may not be compatible with certain types of insulation or soundproofing material

Very quiet and great airflow

Purchased this for my entertainment center to keep an Onkyo TX-NR3009 cool. Fairly easy to install, once you get the holes cut. Programmable LED thermal controller can be set to come on and turn off at nearly any temp. Displays in Celsius and Fahrenheit. The dual 120mm fans are barely audible with the room completely silent. There is a small thermal probe that you can affix anywhere (I put mine right inside the grill on the receiver on top). Keeps my notoriously hot Onkyo receiver very cool…

Pros
  • Slim and compact design for easy placement in tight spaces
Cons
  • The plastic material may become brittle over time and crack or break

Keeping your stereo from overheating

My husband loved this for his stereo system. Having a thermostat is a plus. He had originally ordered a special one from a stereo store for 2x the price and it doesn't cool anywhere near what this does. He returned theirs and uses this one exclusively It's pretty quiet too.

Pros
  • ‎Coolerguys
Cons
  • The plastic material makes the kit susceptible to melting when exposed to high temperatures

Closed cabinet stays cool

I've got a cabinet with two shelf chambers. I installed two of these, one behind each chamber. One is reverse the other, bringing cool air in, hot air out. The temp gauge works as advertised, turns on when cabinet temp hits 70 degrees. Totally worth the money.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • The plastic material may discolor or warp over time

Perfect for entertainment cabinets/great custom options.

This kit is perfect for any entertainment cabinet, buy it. In mine I installed one fan blowing "in" and one venting "out" in a vertical position spanning a mid shelf. This gives great air flow around a number of hot running components including a home theater amp, SAT box, Xbox One(that runs HOT) and other components. Temps inside a way too small space now run about 14 degrees over ambient room temp, well within the operating temps for the Xbox. Without the fans the temps were…

Pros
  • Package well works as described
Cons
  • The cooling kit may not be compatible with non-standard cabinet sizes

Excellent fan for keeping computer tower cool!

I bought one of these about a year ago and it works great. I have my computer tower in a closed cabinet in my kitchen and this thing keeps it cool. I had a minor problem with one of the bulbs in the LED display and called their customer service. They replied quickly and took care of the problem. I highly recommend Coolerguys!

Pros
  • Effective cooling and temperature management to prolong the lifespan of electronics
Cons
  • The fans may emit a noticeable amount of electromagnetic interference

Very well made. Simple to assemble. The only real work is getting the cut-out properly positioned and level. But there is plenty of room for adjustment even for a klutz like me. I took my time and the whole process was about two hours (half of which was removing and reinstalling my home theater equipment). The end result is a professional looking and effective system to exhaust hot air and pull in cool. An excellent, reasonably priced product that works as advertised.

Pros
  • ‎840556002383
Cons
  • The cooling system may not be powerful enough for large setups with multiple components

Works perfect: my feedback

I installed this cooling system in my entertainment system cabinet about nine months ago, and it has worked flawlessly since installation. The cooling fans are pretty easy to install, and the instructions for setting up the cooling system on/off parameters are easy to understand. I wouldn't say the cooling fans are completely inaudible, but they're pretty quiet and barely noticeable, especially if they're mounted toward the rear of your entertainment system.

Pros
  • Fans & Cooling
Cons
  • The fans may be inadequate for certain types of electronics that generate an excessive amount of heat

.for my use it may not be powerful enough.

Well made. But for my use it may not be powerful enough. It seems quiet enough for home use and may be better suited for a home system than where I put it.

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of overheating and equipment damage
Cons
  • The kit may not fit well in certain cabinet configurations, causing it to rattle or shake

Never been cooler good for me

Bought a new media cabinet and there was no airflow. I put one CG Cabcool 1202 Deluxe on both sides. The product does what it says: set a temperature and watch it kick on and off keeping your equipment nice and cool. The nice thing is that they are both very quiet.

Pros
  • Case Fans
Cons
  • The kit may not be aesthetically pleasing and could detract from the overall appearance of your home theater

Perfectly quiet and efficient

Works exactly as promised - quiet, efficient. Had an initial issue with the temperature probe. Once I made contact with Coolerguys they immediately took care of it with a replacement unit. Really impressed, and definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Effortless installation and setup for ease of use
Cons
  • The fans may wear out quickly, necessitating replacements

This thing is loud in my review

I am disappointed in this item. This thing was not cheap so I expected more,It is very well made but I cannot highly recommend.Unless you always listen to movies or music at very loud levels, you will find yourself unplugging the thing as I have.I know I can replace the fans with quieter ones that run at a slower speed, but for what this cost, you would think the mfg would have selected better/more appropriate fans.

Pros
  • Eco-friendly and energy-efficient solution to cooling needs
Cons
  • The fans may generate an annoying high-pitched whine

Cons

Excellent solution for overheating media cabinets

Like most media cabinets, mine has very poor ventilation. For years we just left the doors open to maximize airflow - but even that wasn't sufficient. Now we have a toddler in the house so we had to close it off. I started with thin tight mesh fabric in place of the glass in the door to allow air to pass through, but everything overheated badly. We couldn't even turn on some devices (e.g. game consoles) without opening the door and taking the device out.The coolerguys fans and thermal…

Pros
  • 1500 RPM/ 20CFM / 17dBA
Cons
  • The installation may require drilling holes into your cabinet, which could cause irreparable damage

Quality Cooling Unit

I use this unit to cool a Logitech Squeezebox Boom Wi-Fi radio and Dayton Audio APA150 amplifier installed in a cabinet over the fridge in the kitchen. Works great. Noise is not an issue where it is located but seems to be reasonably quiet. The ability to set the high and low temp. that starts/stops the fan is perfect for this application.

Pros
  • Works as expected in my A/v room have yet to get everything into the A/V closet but setup was easy.
Cons
  • The installation process is challenging and requires technical expertise
