Description of πŸ“Š AEM 30-0310 X-Series Inline Wideband UEGO AFR Sensor Controller: Ultimate Air Fuel Ratio Monitoring Solution

X-Series Inline Wideband UEGO Controller features a weather-resistant, low-profile enclosure with status LEDs. The X-Series Inline Controller includes a 0-5v and RS232 Serial Port output for feedback control and data logging, and an AEMnet (CANbus) output. X-Series digital wideband technology gives these controllers the ability to read and report values that other controllers do not, which can deliver more optimized engine tuning and a safer overall operating condition. Faster response time improves wideband feedback control, and can provide a safer, more powerful and accurate tune. When tuning an engine using wideband AFR feedback control on an inertia dyno, dead time affects the data you are looking at because it is reported in a different operating location than when it actually occurred.

Accurate and fast for lighting and electrical applications

This device is foolproof. I have used it on several tuning cars and it has never let me down. No bad readings, always fast and accurate.

Pros
  • X Series Integrated Controller with 0-5V output and RS232 serial port for feedback control and data logging and AEMnet (CANbus) output
Cons
  • Much

I don't usually give bad reviews but this controller was a nightmare

I don't usually give bad reviews but this controller was a nightmare. I started configuring the ECM and followed my story for 3 days before realizing that the controller was giving poor readings, prompting me to fully begin configuring and optimizing the HP broadband voltage settings. The readings were wrong again for the next car. This was all verified by comparing the AFR readings to my broadband dynamometer, a 4 channel AEM. AEM states that their controllers do not require outdoor…

Pros
  • Faster response time improves broadband feedback control and can enable safer, more powerful and more accurate tuning
Cons
  • Nothing

A quality product, but this

I installed an AEM 30-310 in my 2006 Cobalt SS with a Stage 3 kit from a reputable company. I have an option for a long downpipe with an extra connector (from the same company) so I can add a WB sensor. What I've learned: 1) AEM documentation and tech support makes it clear that the WB sensor installation orientation must be at least 10 degrees above the horizon. or from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. My plug is installed with a horizontal tilt in the negative direction. Not suitable for continuous use (as…

Pros
  • X-Series wideband digital technology gives these controllers the ability to read and report values that other controllers do not, which can result in better engine tuning and overall safer operating conditions.
