I bought this item to paint. To that end, I can sand and clean this board. The board came with dirty fingerprints on both sides. Where holes were drilled for trucks, they broke. This item is not a safe board to ride! Don't waste money on it.

Not at all what I was hoping for. It looks like they're going to put multiple layers together, compress, and ship right away. without polishing, without paint, a small part of the top layer has chips or defects. It's definitely light, but my only concern is that the first fall I take with it will split it in half. I will not go down this path again.

I totally understand that this is the cheap beginner board I was looking for but it was terrible. Completely raw wood. Looks like someone just carved the shape of a skateboard out of scrap wood. I returned it immediately and spent another $8 for a real bare coated deck, not raw. I was afraid that the wood would break when I put the carts in. Don't be fooled by the shiny deck in the picture. Pay $8 for a real deck

You just have to know what you're getting yourself into. This can be a good starting point for creativity. As others have said, they don't make great use as actual skateboards, but make a great shelf or art project. I intended to use them as characters, so my expectations were low. Both of mine arrived damaged but I have the tools to clean them before I start them so I don't really care. If you're hoping they will arrive in pristine condition, you may be disappointed.
