Ideal for teaching the mechanics of weaving

This is a beautiful, lightweight and portable set of six loom poles spaced 24 inches apart. It comes with a storage bag and is easy to install and remove. .I bought this to teach my young agility dog to pole. I started them staggered, gradually moving the bars in line. She settled in in less than a week. She didn't really get weaving poles with guidewires and X-Pen barriers. She wove wires and X-handles, not poles. It really helped her figure it out. Great for Training - Training and Behavior Guide

I read the reviews before buying and someone summed it up very well. This is a great training element. It's lightweight, quick to set up and take down, and definitely allows your dog to work with the webbing. While the "tabs" that protrude from the sides of the base can be adjusted to keep it in place, the webbings aren't as strong as metal and can therefore tip over if your dog hits them too hard. therefore faster dogs cannot process this attitude. Lightweight sticks are perfect for learning and practicing weaving

UPDATE: I originally gave this product the 5 star rating it deserves. Then I went to national cane competitions. I've used them with a few people. When I came back the bars were loose and no longer straight. Pulling the bars out of the bases seemed to loosen the grip. It hurt a bit, but then I realized I can do something from below. Flip the posts over and use a Phillips screwdriver to hand tighten the posts. Took me 30 seconds and the sticks were like new. I've changed the rating to one star…
