90% perfect for computers and accessories

I love this dock for my Mac Mini. Color matching is very good, and it offers a useful amount of extra ports and (best of all) an elegant place to stow a hard drive for time machine backups! The only thing that bothers me is that the USB ports on mine are reversed from their normal orientation. Improved Model Feedback: Add a USB-C port on the front and multiple USB-3 ports on the back for discrete peripheral connectivity.

SATA stopped working after a week.

Although nice to look at and initially worked properly, my docked SSD keeps disconnecting (Samsung 870 1TB). It randomly reconnects and then disconnects in less than a minute. The disconnection takes a few minutes but I get a lot of "DISK NOT EJECTED ORPERLY" notifications on my screen. Also, all of the USB-A connectors are reversed, which is very frustrating when working with USB accessories that expect a properly oriented connector. returned today.

Perfect fit for Mac mini 2018/2020

AS: Matches Mac mini color perfectly. USB-C connection. Looks great. Works perfectly. DON'T LIKE: USB ports are WRONG! PLEASE FIX. The USB-C connection is fine, but since this is for a Mac mini it really should be able to harness the speed of Thunderbolt 3. WISHLIST: Fix Upside Down USB Ports! Everything I needed to complete my new Mac Mini

I loved the speed, performance (and price) of the new Mac Mini with the M1 chip, but needed a few more connections more and don't want to pay the exorbitant premium that Apple charges for additional storage. This dock is perfect for the mini and has all the extra ports I need. Plus, the built-in SSD bay allowed me to unobtrusively add a 1TB SSD for a fraction of the price it would take to upgrade the Mini to this level. The Mac was off, but I had no issues with that. The gray color space is almost identical to that of the Mini depending on how the light hits it, but it's close enough to feel like part of the You can mount the device on the top or bottom of the Mini, and either way will work. Elegant combination for external storage and many other USB ports

I wanted to add a 1TB external SSD to my Mac Mini and also wanted a USB hub to give me more ports. This device can do both and looks very sexy. I had no trouble installing a SATA SSD in the case. It arrived today and I was pleased to connect it to my Mac Mini M1. While I can plug it in through either of the now prized two USB-C ports, there should be at least one swap for one without taking one away, leaving us with just one.
